The Boomtown Rats are a progressive, alternative, trash-glamourous and totally timeless Irish rock group that have been shaking the world since the 70s. Through their sounds, their vision and the messages they ferry, you'll be hard pressed to turn away.

The Rats is a little under pages long and it is quite a scary book. I enjoyed reading it very much, and can highly recommend it, but the story may may not appeal to more sqeamish readers because some of the scenes are not just blood and gore, but blood and gnaw. The Rats is book one of a three book series and I look forward to the second & third instalments even though I have read the actual novels. 4 people found this helpful Overall 5 out of 5 stars. - Countless other reasonable expectations from a book called "Rats" Ok, that being said, I really did like this book--I enjoyed reading it--so I hate to give it such a low rating.

Sullivan is a great writer who kept me turning pages long after I realized that his book didn't live up to its title or by: [RATS] is a fun romp-and-motorcycle-ride through intrigue, explosions, action, betrayal, politics, and victory.

Non-military readers will thoroughly enjoy it, and military readers will too. -- San Francisco Book Review (4 of 5 stars)/5(). Rats is a bald "book proposal" project that never transcends the limitations of its genetics. We can imagine Sullivan telling his agent that he wants to spend a year watching rats in NYC while jotting down his thoughts and experiences/5.

This book is really great, from the cover (I bought the edition with the giant rat on the front) it looks kind of like a cheesy cult horror movie poster but this book has a lot of action, the story moves quickly but makes you want to read more, it's fact-based and well researched (there were never giant killer rats but it does provide some /5.

An exciting fable, How the Rats Re-formed the Congress by Ralph Nader shows the specific steps WE THE PEOPLE can take to control Congress, our smallest, yet most powerful, constitutional branch of government.

IT’S EASIER THAN WE THINK. Boorman’s Pathology of the Rat: Reference and Atlas, Second Edition, continues its history as the most comprehensive pathology reference on rat strains for researchers across science and medicine using rat models in the laboratory. It offers readers an added emphasis on the Sprague-Dawley and Wistar rat strains that is consistent with current.

This book was a great, fast read. Herbert's lean style of writing with The Rats will have you cranking through the pages in no time. Excellent suspense is dispersed liberally throughout as well as some gruesome detail that hits hard for being written in the early 70's/5(6).
